(NASB)
THE CHRISTIAN'S RESPONSIBILITY IN DELIVERING THE GOSPEL 1.
The believer is the agent in witnessing, which is the responsibility of
every member of the Royal Family of God (Rom. 1:14-16).
2.
There must be a witness of your life and the lips (1 Thess. 1:4-5 cf. 2 Cor.
5:14-21).
3. The believer
must witness in the power of the Holy Spirit. Therefore, he
must exclude every system of human salesmanship so as not to
create any false issue.
4. The believer's ability to witness
depends on his emphasis of the Gospel, especially the doctrine of
reconciliation: Christ's removal of the barrier between God and man.
5. Clarity in witnessing demands your
accurate understanding of the two deaths, spiritual and physical, of Jesus
Christ on the Cross.
6. The challenge of
witnessing comes from the Doctrine of Unlimited Atonement (1
John 2:2). Christ died for all mankind.
7. The
effectiveness of witnessing depends on the ministry of God
the Holy Spirit.
8. Confidence in
witnessing comes from your own assurance of eternal security
(John 10:28; Rom. 8:1, 38-39; 1 Pet. 1:4-5).
9. The reward of
witnessing is a part of your blessings in time and eternity
(Phil. 4:1; 1 Thess. 2:19).
10. Witnessing is
the function of our Royal Ambassadorship. The motivation for
our witnessing comes from our Priesthood and our love for
God (2 Cor. 5:18-20).
